Game 3
Chino Hills
7/2/10 |
2-14 |
The 9 & 10 year-old roll came
to an abrupt halt with a 14-2 loss to Chino Hills. Errors and walks led
to too many runs, and although the score was 3-2 after one inning, the
mistakes proved to be too much. The team next plays Chino National in a
must win situation.

Game 4
Chino National
7/8/10 |
1-5 |
Despite a great combined pitching
effort from Preston Markland and Dylan Lewis, the 9 &10 year-old team was
eliminated from the tournament with a 5-1 loss to Chino National. Canyon Hills
played its best defensive game and got big plays from Jake Pawluk, Tyler Kanne,
Brennen Carr, Michael Rogers and James Linn. The All-Stars couldn't come up with
timely hits, but tried to mount a comeback in the 5th after a RBI single from Ryan
Kanne. Although they finished the tournament at 2 and 2, the 9 and 10 year olds
should be proud of their effort. Tyler Kanne was the offensive standout of the
tournament going 7 for 12 and Preston Markland threw two good games keeping his
team in the games with his outstanding pitching.
Congratulations again to the 2010 All-Stars; Ryan Kanne, James Linn, Jared Amancio,
Ryan Guidry, Parker Wallace, Preston Markland, Jake Pawluk, Cole Padilla, Tyler Kanne,
Brennen Carr, Michael Rogers, Dylan Lewis, Steven Khan and David Martin.
